Here is another example similar to the last post. In Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
God is talking about Jerusalem but he does not call it Jerusalem, he calls it Sodom and Egypt. Outwardly it may appear to be the most “Holy” city in the world but God sees through the outward appearance and reveals it`s true character. The verse is set in the exciting period of history just prior to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
What is most interesting for true believers is the fact that Jerusalem is well on the way to becoming exactly like the description in Revelation 11:8.
