Older people in every generation lament what they see is the failings of the younger generation.

Older people in Israel, are no different to other countries, they express exactly the same sentiments about the younger generation.

A friend has highlighted a book on her Facebook page, she has also interviewed the author on radio.

The author of the novel, came up with the idea of writing the novel in a historical context, in order to educate young Israelis about their recent history.  He realised that the subject of history can seem to be boring for young people.

When I first read the Facebook posting about the book, I was immediately struck by how similar the situation is in N.Ireland.

The “Unionist” community has almost been entirely de-protestantised due to the neglect of the study of history, and most importantly by a lack of study of the Word Of God.

Can you imagine the outcry there would be, if the parents of the young people presently at school started insisting that “The History Of Protestantism” be taught in the state schools?

Why are the elected representatives of  “Political Unionism” not insisting the History Of Protestantism be taught in state schools?
