VBC Iplayer is showing a famous German movie titled “The Lives Of Others.”  It is set in East Germany in 1984 and shows how the pervasive influence of the Stasi secret police reached everywhere.

In reality, it is showing the “New N.Ireland” in 2014. Obviously the activities of the “secret police and their informants” are a bit more subtle than they were in the old East Germany but the end result is the same!

It is one of the major reasons why no real large-scale “Unionist resistance” ever really gets off the ground.
