Looking back over my lifetime, I have to honestly say Don Partridge must have been one of the very, very best musicians who ever appeared on Top Of The Pops.
He was quite possibly, one of the most genuine people who ever appeared on the show as well.

The first time I set eyes on him he immediately reminded me of a character in the movie “Mean streets” who went round blowing up letter boxes and stuff in New York.
