How would Oliver Cromwell have handled a situation where British citizens where being humiliated, tortured and beheaded?

This link may give you a clue a to what he may have done. Cromwell was feared throughout Europe because God put the fear into his enemies and potential enemies. Alas, Britian was a very different nation in those days, and Britian also had REAL leaders.
