He is trying to explain why “Unionists” identify with a “British” identity???
It is all very simple. It is because we “Unionists” are British!
For instance, I am British and N.Irish in the same sense a Scot is British and Scottish, or a Welsh person is British and Welsh, or an English person is British and English!
What is hard to understand about that?
Henry also seeks to set out the relationship between the British armed services and the “Unionist” community? This is also very easy to explain.
Every Unionist family will have family ties to the British armed forces from the present day going back for generations. What is so hard about that to understand?
That is why many Unionists are sceptical about “Irish Republican” claims relating to “COLLUSION” between “Loyalists” and the British army.
Unionists have the insight to know that if real COLLUSION had been instigated to the full extent of it`s capability between the Unionist community and the British army, the end result would have been the shooting dead of every Irish Republican in N.Ireland.
Let`s make it really simple. It is a waste of time for outsiders to try and analyse the Unionist community, they are outsiders that is why they just do not get it and they will never get it!
If outsiders wish to try and analyse something more challenging they should try analysing “Loyalism.”
For instance, ask me if I am a “Loyalist?” The answer is yes I am, but my Loyalty is to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings!
I am not “Loyal” to some Monarch who grovels to the Antichrist.
If Henry McDonald wants to do something really useful he should try analying “Irish Republicanism?” Why do so many “Irish Republicans” claim to hate Britain so much when most of them are secretly working for the “British” Intelligence services?
Just how much money has been spent over the last 40 years by the “British” government to protect the lives of Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness aka JII8?
REV 19:11-16
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
