It is amazing to consider how all the events of life are controlled by the hand of God.  Below is a picture of the grave of Lieutenant-General William Mott.

He was killed on 7th August 1942 when the plane he was travelling in was shot down by a German interceptor.  If  William Mott had not been killed it is quite possible Bernard Law Montgomery may have finished WW2 as an unknown general.

Montgomery was Mott`s replacement.  Churchill is reported to have commented on the matter, noting…. “the part that the hand of God had taken in removing Gott at the critical moment”

I never knew about this matter until a few days ago when I was looking through Britain At War magazine.

Here is a very famous Bible verse marking the providence of God.

Ruth 2:3 And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.
